ASHA Joins Thousands at Saturday’s Solidarity March

kindness is cool

On Saturday, tens of thousands of marchers walked from Hyde Park to Parliament Square to show support and solidarity with refugees.

Chants of “say it loud, say it clear, refugees are welcome here” rang out along with boos and “shame on you” as the crowd moved passed Downing Street.

The march finished with a rally where Billy Bragg sang the Red Flag and the newly elected leader of the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, was met with cheers.
