Section 4 support is given to refused asylum seekers who are destitute and meet the eligibility criteria for support. The support consists of accommodation and £35.39 per week via the Azure payment card. There are no cash payments.
The store, Iceland, famous for their catchphrase “That’s why mums go to Iceland” have been added to the list of retailers who accept the Azure card. The full list is:
Asda, Boots, The Co-operative, Iceland, Morrison’s, Mothercare, Sainsbury’s and Tesco.
The card is also accepted at charity shops: British Red Cross and The Salvation Army.
