The British Red Cross, working in partnership with other organisations including ASHA, held a conference on Friday, 18 October 2013 titled “A decade of destitution: time to make a change”.
Despite a decade of work by a range of organisations, the situation facing Greater Manchester’s destitute refugees and asylum seekers is not improving. Many live with homelessness and hunger.
This event featured a panel debate about the issue, and the launch of a report revealing the scale of the problem and the simple changes that could make things better.
